Choosing to use food as nature has intended for us - nourishing and healing. I work carefully with the plants and animals that I pick, receive, and in some cases, grow in my own garden. Choosing healthy complimentary ingredients to highlight seasonal local products, you can count on the love and attention I put into each dish you hold in your hands.
It is my wish that one day everyone will instinctively know how to eat well for their body, mind and spirit.

Why is Soturi Kitchen gluten and dairy free?
Several years ago I woke up one morning with my face buffed up like a basketball. After speaking to a co-worker who had been eating a gluten and dairy free diet for a long time and the reasons behind it (inflammation is a biggie) I decided to give up gluten and dairy for 30 days. In the next 1,560 days I have learned how excluding gluten and dairy can benefit the body (if one has intolerances) and experienced the benefits of a gluten and dairy free diet and thanks to it I have not been a basketball since. Going gluten and dairy free may not be for everyone but due to the over-processed nature of our industrialized society, many can reap the benefits of mood lifting, pain reduction, better sleep, shaper memory and better energy that comes with eating in a healthier and mindful way (choosing unrefined options and making connection to our foods).
Why do we choose local?
Eating local feeds us with foods that contain the micro organism and (good) bacteria of our surrounding geology and environment so it helps us fight any (undesirable) bacteria that may be going around in this area because the plants/animals have already dealt with them in a way. Eating local also supports the economy of the local farmers who live and work in this area!
